The storm whips a fury of glowing waves. Max grips tight to the woven reins that fasten him to the colossal cephalopod as it cleaves through the ocean. It’s mighty tentacles churns a frothy wake behind as Max pulls back hard on the beast’s leash, keeping it above water. In the distance, Max sees land. And a strange, inexplicable light.
